Cantina Giuliano Chianti

In making this wine, the grapes were handpicked and selected, carefully destemmed, and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.  The wine was pressed, blended, and then aged 50% in stainless steel tanks and 50% in 500L French Oak barrels.  After 9 months, the wine was racked, blended, and lightly filtered before bottling. Ruby red color, aromatic and fresh nose with notes of cherries, raspberries, and spices. The body is balanced and rich. Look for aromas of wild berries, cherries, licorice, leather, and black olives. Tomato-based dishes, stews, or lightly chilled with appetizers as an aperitif. Serve between 16-18C and if you can, decant for an hour before the meal.
