The Recanati Special Reserve red represents the best of each vintage. The best vineyard blocks are treated with the utmost care, and the best wine is then chosen by the winemakers to create our flagship wine. Recanati Special Reserve wines are produced in excellent years only.
The Wine: Special reserve is a rich and full-bodied wine with distinct and balanced acidity which gives the wine a long aging ability. The wine has a unique mix of chocolate, berries, black pepper, and Mediterranean herbs aroma. A special blend of Cabernet Sauvignon from the upper Galilee; Syrah and Merlot for Manara vineyard; old vines Petite Sirah from the Jezreel valley and dry-farmed Carignan from the Judean hills was decided for this wine. A long and cool maturation season provided perfect conditions for the Special reserve red.
